How to submit your Geo Sitemap to Google

Since Maps Marker Pro v2.6 you can automatically add links to your KML maps to your XML sitemaps easily, as support for the popular plugin Google XML sitemaps has been added. Please see the release notes for more details.

If you are using another sitemap plugin, you can manually submit your geo sitemap to Google by following this tutorial:

  1. Login on https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
  2. On the Webmaster Tools home page, click the site you want to modify or create a new one
  3. Navigate to Crawl and open the submenu Sitemaps.
  4. Click the Add/Test Sitemap button.
  5. In the text box, complete the path to your Sitemap, for example https://www.yourdomain.com/maps/geositemap
  6. Click Submit.

Thanks for the info! Just found the following info:

Google has retired support for the Geo Sitemaps format. You can continue to submit your Geo content to us using the standard Sitemaps format (just listing the URL of the file(s), without -specific tags).

I will remove -tags from the sitemap in v2.3.1 so that the sitemap will continue to work again.
