Pro v1.5.2 with clustering, GPX and importer optimizations is available

Pro v1.5.2 is mainly a maintenance release which adds optimizations to clustering, GPX and importer functionality. Please read below for more details.

MapsMarker.com now also supports bitcoin payment

I´ve added a new payment method for the shop on mapsmarker.com: if you are already using bitcoins, you can now also use them to buy Maps Marker Pro licenses. See https://www.mapsmarker.com/bitcoin for more details.

updated markercluster codebase to v0.4

This update added some subtle change – please see the changelog for full details.

Other changes & optimizations

  • warning message on importer if . instead of , is used as coma separater for lat/lon values (thx Yannick!)
  • additional check if loaded GPX file is valid
  • added marker cluster fallback colors for IE6-8 (via markercluster codebase update to v0.4)
  • optimized minimap control box to better fit leaflet design (thx robpvn!)
  • use WordPress wp_remove_get() function instead of proprietary proxy for fetching GPX files
  • switched from wp_remote_post() to wp_remove_get() to avoid occasional IIS7.0 issues (thx Chas!)
  • optimized detailed import log messages to better indicate if test mode is on

Please note that translators are also compensated for their contribution – for example if a translation is finished less than 50%, the translator gets a free 25 licenses pack worth  €199 as a compensation for completing the translation to 100%.

Outlook – my plans for the next release

v1.6 development will be focused on the integration of Google Street View, v1.7 will focus on filtering of layers on frontend.

How to download / update 

The easiest way to update is to use the WordPress update process: login with an user who has admin privileges, navigate to Dashboard / Updates, select plugins to update and press the button “Update Plugins”.

The pro plugin checks every 12 hours if a new version is available. You can also manually trigger the update check by going to Plugins and clicking on the link “Manually check for updates” next to “Leaflet Maps Marker Pro”:
